A thousand years in the future, man in all his forms has spread out across the universe. Some races have chosen to live apart and others have attempted to build alliances with others including diversity colonies. One of those is the Planet Rahla and its moon Acacia.
But not long after the colony began, it erupted with violence and fell into a civil (or not so civil) war between humans, vampires and werewolves. The massive bloodshed was ended with the Acacia Treaty which divided the two surviving races. Humans held Rahla and vampires were exiled to the domed moon colony of Acacia.
The treaty is resented by both sides and war may return at any moment.

Blurb
Aeron, a vampire spy, has been assigned to one of Rahla’s blood donation centers to seek intelligence about the disappearance of Acacian agents from the resistance. When his cover is blown and he finds himself facing certain death at the hands of the Rahla Peace Officers -- known as the Reapers. His only salvation may be his human, planet side contact, Helia.
Despite her sister’s dire warnings, Helia is drawn to Aeron. She offers him her support, her blood and her body. She finds Aeron addictive, but if she follows him back to Acacian moon colony, she fears she’ll become no more than his human blood slave. How much will she willingly sacrifice to stay by his side?
Excerpt Chapter One
Aeron waited until he was alone before diving back into the complicated computer file system. There was some secret here, some clue that would explain what happened to the missing doctor. It was his job, his duty, his mission to sort out the information.
Cracking the security hadn’t been hard. He’d done it numerous times in the week he’d been on assignment, but once inside there didn’t seem to be anything to find. All the usual lists of patients and blood donors and the usual inventory of medicines and blood units and shipment dates, but nothing that looks suspicious. Each time he dug a little bit deeper.
There had to be something.
“Aeron?” Helia, second in charge at the blood donation center, interrupted from the doorway.
He flicked the screen back to the regular patient input page. Not that it mattered so much for her. She at least knew he was more than just an average human doctor. The pretty blond knew he was a vampire as well as a spy for the Acacian moon colony. “Yes, is the next patient here?” He was here as a collector, so now and then he had to actually do some blood collecting.
“Yes, last one for the day, I think.” She held out a disk chart. “I’ve set him up in room number two.”
He turned off the computer and followed her to the new donor. Perhaps not so new. The man already had his hand in position to have blood taken. Still Rahla policy required a collector to be on hand for every blood donation, even if the machinery did nearly all the work.
“Good afternoon. I see you’ve given blood before.” He pressed the disk chart to the reader and noted the man’s name. “We’ll be starting in a moment, Gregory.”
The man nodded, leaning back and closing his eyes.
Aeron examined the man’s arm and found the usual multitude of healed marks. Another glance at the chart confirmed that Gregory had been a regular donor for years, just as was required by the Rahla government. “You missed your donation last month. Was there a problem?”
“I was ill. No other problem.”
The moment he closed the armband it began scanning Gregory’s bio-readout and comparing it to his standard history. “You’ve recovered now, I see.” Once that was done, he pressed the button to proceed. The machine issued a small hiss while administering a pain blocker and inserting the needle.
Then the soft and seductive scent of blood flowed over Aeron’s senses.
Damn. His thirst burned up to the surface, swelling his fangs. He gritted his teeth to the point of pain, pushing back the need and forcing his instincts to ignore the presence and temptation of blood.
A soft hand touched his shoulder. Helia. “I can take it from here.”
The girl always knew. He wasn’t sure how, but she always knew when he was pushed too far. He bit down harder and offered a short nod.
Her worry faded some. “I left your usual dinner waiting in office B.”
“Thank you.” He whispered with only the barest lisp. He tried to pass her without breathing in the delicate scent she’d been teasing him with for days. But it was futile. The subtle vanilla captured him, tangling his feet for a moment so that he tilted dangerously toward her long slender neck.
Her sigh jerked him back upright.
He’d been about to feed from her, right in front of a donor.
“Go eat.” Her hand brushed his arm, gently pushing him toward the door.
He went, but his mind dwelled on the temptation that was Helia. In the office he found a small thermal cup filled with warm blood from some anonymous donor. As he brought the cup to his lips he knew it would do nothing to curb his hungers. They came from a need deeper than thirst. What his body craved was Helia’s willing flesh and freely given blood.
He’d have her before this assignment was over. He’d claim her in every sense of the word. A low possessive growl welled up. To fight back the unfamiliar ache, he swallowed down the blood, letting it ease him as best it could.
He’d held off so far. She might be willing, but he should not take advantage. Helia was his contact here on Rahla. He shouldn’t misuse her trust. She and Bridget were the only ones who knew what he was and could expose him to the Catcher Guards. To betray their trust would be to forfeit his own safety as well as any future agents who needed access to the blood centers.
Still…
He needed her, desired her, and every day it grew harder to resist.
“Are you well?” Helia asked from the door.
Hell no, he wasn’t well. He was losing his sanity. He drew in her scent from across the room and instantly his fangs ached in ways that the cup of blood hadn’t come close to inspiring.
“I had Bridget take over with room two. You were so pale, we were both concerned.”
“I’m fine, but thank you.” He sank down at the computer terminal again. His only hope of not preying on her innocence would be to keep busy, find his answers and get the hell off Rahla. “If there is no one else donating at the moment, I’ll continue here.”
“Have you found anything yet?”
“No.” Even if he had, he’d have answered no. It was never wise to reveal too much to the contacts. If it didn’t get them killed it could get him betrayed. Helia and Bridget didn’t know anything other than he was here to find out what happened to the missing doctor. They were mostly in the dark and it would be best to keep them there.
“I can help if you’ll let me.” Helia closed the door and crossed to stand beside him. You don’t need to flip the screen. I won’t even tell Bridget if that’s what you want.”
If she helped he might get done sooner, but there’d be no way to keep her in the dark, to keep her safe.
“I have a right to help find him. You know I do.” She reached out, her fingers stilling a breath from his cheek, as if she’d planned to caress him but lost her courage at the last second. Then her hand fell away. But her blue gaze locked with his. “He was my father.”
“You knew?” Dr. Kaven had reported that no one knew of his past identity here in the donation center. He’d sworn that even his family would not recognize him after so long and so many changes, including his turning vampire. “How?”
“Information is the only true power. Just after he disappeared, I found ways to search his things and among them I found a picture of our mother as well as some private letters. It didn’t take much guessing to put together who he really was and why he was here with us. It was the reason I offered to be a contact for you. I just wish I had figured it out in time to help him.” She pushed back a wavy blond stand, tucking it behind her ear. “I need to know more about him and how it happened, how he was turned and why he left.”
She did deserve to know the truth. “Your father was killed by the Catcher Guards during the first wave of exiles to Acacia. He died saving… someone very important to our people. She granted the conversion and once he’d been turned he accepted his new life. Your father is a hero to our people. If he can be rescued, he will be.”
The bright tears shining in her eyes cracked something in him. He didn’t even remember his own parents. To Helia this chance to know her father would be something precious. He caught her trembling hands and tugged her forward until she stood between his thighs.
“I would welcome your help finding Dr. Kaven, but I know he will not thank me for putting you in danger.” He brushed the pad of his thumb across her cheek, wiping away the tear that had escaped.
“Do you think he really is still alive?”
He wanted to lie, to tell her Kaven was fine and all they had to do was find him. But that wouldn’t be fair to her either. So instead he tempered the grim truth with a taste of hope. “I don’t know. It is possible, but not very likely.”
She blinked at him. “You think there is a chance then?” Helia crumpled slowly against him. Her body trembled with emotion. Her arms snaking around his neck in her need comfort.
And all he could do was revel in the contact. He hadn’t meant to give her false hope. Her father was almost certainly dead. His primary mission was to retrieve any intelligence the doctor had collected. The last communication had hinted at some problem with the blood supply which had as yet not been discovered. Tracking the doctor’s whereabouts was his secondary mission, but only if it did not interfere with getting the information.
But with Helia in his arms and her hopes pinned on finding her father, how could he turn away? Hell, with her pressed to tightly against his body, and his senses clamoring to feed and fuck, how could he even think straight?

Within the refuge of the moon Acacia, vampires have established peace, and built a thriving empire based on control and logic. But emotion rules their hearts and lust defies logic through the long cool nights. Against all odds, Medic Blake has fallen in love -- with his human slave, Dash.
Blake, a high ranking member of Acacia’s Medical Division, is shocked to find blood donations to the vampire moon colony have been contaminated with an antigen that could wipe out their entire race. Who would contaminate the blood, with what and why? The answer may cost him his life -- and his one chance at true happiness. Unless Dash can save him from himself.
Excerpt
Dash stood in the office tidying the files, but also watching Med Blake work with the ill vampire. He had turned on the sound to listen in. His master was always so skilled at dealing with the worst injuries and most traumatized patients.
None of that prepared him for Med Blake’s dangerous decision. He heard the words but almost discounted them as a simple ploy to get the vampire to feed. After all Med Blake never fed on the bagged blood, claiming his position with the clinic meant he should leave the bagged blood for those who needed it. He had servants to feed from and no need to deplete the imported blood supply.
He watched, expecting Blake to fake drinking the blood, but knew immediately that he was not faking. He also knew one other terrifying fact. The blood was poisoned.
Dash was to the door even before his master called for him. The fine lines of strain around the older vampire’s eyes were the only betrayal that there was a problem. "Dash, could you please see that two blood slaves are brought here. Oversee the withdrawing of blood yourself, while Doctor Kaven watches."
"Med Blake?"
His master stood slowly, and walked to the door with odd slow steps. "See to the doctor first, then come check on me." He leaned in closer to whisper, "Don’t look so worried. I had no more than a sip."
Sip? It had looked more like a full cup. "Master?" Dash wanted to go with him. There were others to see to the patient.
"Do as I say, Dash. I trust you."
In other words, the blood might have been contaminated here on Acacia. "Yes, Master." He bowed enough to show deference even while he hurried back to the hall to see to his master’s wishes. "Keri and Jess, please come quickly."
The girls came to his call at once. They were all used to working under emergency situations and knew fast action could save lives. By the time the girls sat at the table, he had them both prepared to withdraw the blood. He asked all the proper questions to be sure they could donate, and to be sure Kaven could hear their answers.
The tick of an antique clock sounded off the seconds, each more slowly than the last. The moment the blood bags were filled and the girls’ arms were swabbed and taped, he passed the food over to Kaven. "This blood is pure, fresh and still warm. Drink or not. I must see to my master."
Then he fled, shoving the girls out of the room before him. "Get ADM Med Sullivan and bring him to Med Blake’s quarters."
He had compassion plenty for the tortured vampire, but in truth only one of the undead mattered to him. And it was to Blake that he rushed, praying he found his master well in his private quarters.
Med Blake had found him abandoned on the streets of Rahla’s Central City as a child, barely arrived planet-side. His family had died in transport and he’d been no more than a few turns old and alone in a strange new world. Without the vampire’s aid he would have died, or worse. Instead Blake had taken him in and given him a safe productive life. On Rahla he’d been paid a wage as a servant. Here on Acacia he was called a slave, but otherwise there was no difference in his role or in his affections.
He reached their private quarters in the dome closest to the import facility. His heart slammed painfully as he made his way inside the quiet area. The lights were dimmed. The rooms were shadowed. But it was his home, too, and he didn’t need to turn on lights to navigate the familiar rooms.
Then he tripped over a chair, not in its place. Flipping on the lights he found the room mostly as expected, but there was a clear path across the main living area of furniture and rugs knocked askew.
Fear lanced through him. His careful and self-contained master would never leave such a mess. He ran to the master’s bedroom, dreading what he might find, praying it was not as bad as he feared.
The door opened and he stared into the dark room. "Master?"
The weight that hit him had ripping claws and snapping fangs. All vampire. Fully into bloodlust.
Not his beloved master. This couldn’t be Med Blake. It couldn’t be.
But it was. Fangs sank into his throat.
He wanted to fight back, but fell into the terrifying euphoria of feeding. He’d give anything for his master, his heart, his soul… everything. The pleasure pain spiked, while his master tore at his clothes and fed from his life.
He brushed back tangled hair and stroked over the master’s head, cradling him close. The fury of the moment would pass. When his master was well again, he’d regret this savagery, but Dash would have no regrets. No, he’d offered up everything to his master once before and been refused. This time he would offer again without ever uttering a word.
"You belong to me." The master’s words were little more than a beautiful snarl. His head came up slowly. His glowing silver gaze was filled with a wild need on the edge of madness.
"Yes," Dash answered, although it had not been a question.
Clawed hands gentled. The brutality was gone, replaced by a dark possessiveness that was almost tamed. "Mine."
"Always." Dash might be willing to offer up his life, but there was more at stake than his mortal life. If a mere sip of the poison could turn his rational master to madness, what would it do to a whole colony of vampires?

Subversive attempts to destroy the colony are almost certainly being directed by the human purists on Rahla. Acacian agents have been murdered, and now their blood supply has been tampered with. Counterintelligence operations have led to the capture of two werewolf warriors, more dangerous than anything either side has ever seen before. Chapter One
Queen Caitlin stood behind the inch-thick plas-glass security panel and waited for the slaves to come into the exercise room. It had been months since she’d had time to watch them on seventhday. This more relaxed side of them was a balm on her overly controlled life. The entrance opened and in came the boisterous group. There were no guards to direct them, no orders given or followed. Today they came here to play.
Several of the males headed for the floor mats and began sparring. Their glistening bodies held perfect balance between tense muscles and relaxed poise. As the sex slave class all did, they lived mostly naked. The men wore nothing but loose-fitting, nearly transparent pants and armbands which declared their owner’s house, family and status. The armbands these men and women wore were gold and studded with diamonds and Acacia’s rarest stone, the iridescent black ruby. No other vampire in all Acacia would so much as touch these slaves.
They were hers.
There were only five women among them. She looked at each and saw herself in their places. Like her, they were all tall and well formed with long black hair. Her men were more varied, but the women had each been chosen because of their resemblance to her. Their purpose was to enjoy the physical love which she could not. Through them she could experience everything without risk.
One girl caught her attention. She wasn’t with any of the others, not playing or talking or interacting. She was among them, but almost as if she was unseen. She walked across the room with purpose, moving toward a private chamber, one often used for sex.
Caitlin followed, moving into the connecting viewing chamber. This one looked directly into the bedroom. Although she had entered the chamber alone, the girl wasn’t alone now. Two men, great hulking warriors, stalked her around the bed.
The men… they were not hers. They shouldn’t be in there.
Caitlin’s feet refused to move. The scene held her entranced as she watched the men catch the girl between them. Eyes wide, the girl didn’t struggle. Too terrified? Perhaps. But their hands made short work of her thin dress, tearing it from her flesh like animals.
The girl was so much like her. She leaned against the glass. “Fight them. Get away.”
Looking her way, the girl said, “Acacia needs them.”
No, that wasn’t right. How could the girl see her? The plas-glass only worked one way.
It didn’t matter. The girl was being ravished, her body stroked and fondled roughly. The men were both so huge. Every part of them. At some point they’d removed their clothes. Each sported terrifyingly large genitals, erections so thick they would surely leave the girl bleeding.
One pulled the girl across the bed, holding her down and kissing her thoroughly. The other male dragged her legs apart and knelt between her pale thighs. His silvery gaze turned toward Caitlin, as if he, too, could see the observer. “I’d die to protect what is mine. Her world becomes mine to protect.”
The first male abandoned the girl’s lips to add his own affirmation. “As would I. Nothing will cause her harm.”
The silver-eyed one lifted the girl’s hips and drove into her body in one long stroke. All the while his gaze never left Caitlin. He made love to the girl, but every motion, caress, declaration was for Caitlin. Over and over they took the girl, using her roughly, but also bringing her to one climax after another, until she was too spent to do more than accept their bodies.
The two were without mercy. Surely they would be sated soon. How much longer could they continue?
Forever.
Caitlin’s body throbbed with need. She felt their touches, enjoyed their pleasure. But release hovered just out of reach. She parted the folds of her robe, reaching down to her slick cleft. So close. Leaning against the glass she rubbed her thumb and fingers over the swollen nub of her clit. Pleasure rocked through her. Rotating her hips, she held to a controlled rhythm, forcing her body to go slow.
Inside the chamber, the second man took the girl, almost as if he were keeping to the same controlled rhythm. His cock plunged deep and withdrew over and over, in perfect time with Caitlin’s fingers.
Silver-eyes now stood at the glass, one hand resting over where she leaned. That huge hand, so close to hers… His other hand moved up and down his erection. He parted his lips, panting. His hand sped over the tip and slowed over the length. Over and over.
The waves of pleasure knifed through her and as her climax hit and stole her strength, they joined her. Both men found release with her. She sagged and would have fallen…
But the glass was gone. Both men caught her in their arms.
She should have been afraid, but she wasn’t. She felt safe. Which was ridiculous. “You can’t protect me.”
Silver-eyes tightened his arms around her. “We can if you’ll let us.”
The other one pressed his head against hers and whispered, “War is coming for you and yours. Only we can stop it. Only we can save you.”
She pushed at their heavy bodies, needing space. She didn’t need them. No. There had to be another way. Had to. Pushing… pushing…
Caitlin woke tangled in her blankets, pushing at the plush bed covering, desperate to escape the dream, the nightmare… the prescient vision.
